New Mexico Compilation Commission

The New Mexico Compilation Commission was created in 1941. Pursuant to Section 12-1-7 NMSA 1978, the Commission is responsible for publishing the official, annotated compilation of the New Mexico statutes, including court rules governing practice and procedure in the state courts. It is the designated publisher of the New Mexico courts. See "Brief History of the Compilation and Publication of New Mexico laws".

The Commission also serves as the publisher of special publications for the Secretary of State and the Taxation and Revenue Department while creating topical publications like New Mexico Criminal and Traffic Law Manual for law enforcement and the criminal justice system. See “NM Legal Research Products” for a complete listing of the official products published by the Commission.

The New Mexico Compilation Commission has a governance structure consisting of an advisory committee and a commission with representation from the constituencies it serves. See “About Us” for the members that lead and support the Commission.

The mission of the New Mexico Compilation Commission is to serve the private bar, state and local government and the public with reliable, affordable, high quality official laws with dedicated customer service and support.
